Start with practical constraints, not a generic ranking. The selector weighs room and routine fit before retailer links appear.

Primary recommendation

WalkingPad A1 Pro

The best all-round choice for regular desk walking: steadier than the compact pads, still foldable, and clearly workday-first.

Meaningful disadvantage: Heavier and more committed than the C2.

Paceora supported

One compact alternative

WalkingPad C2

Choose it when storage is the main constraint and shorter walking sessions are enough.

Meaningful disadvantage: Narrower deck becomes more noticeable during longer typing sessions.

Before you buy

Questions that decide the purchase

Can Paceora replace my broken WalkingPad remote?

It can replace daily remote control on a supported model when the treadmill itself still powers on and its Bluetooth connection works. Paceora does not repair the remote or treadmill hardware.

Which WalkingPad models are supported?

Paceora currently supports the WalkingPad C2, A1 Pro, R1 Pro, X21, and X25. Support is model-specific and does not extend to every WalkingPad or KingSmith product.

How do I check compatibility before buying?

Choose your model in the diagnostic on this page, then run the live check in desktop Chrome. The live check asks you to select a nearby WalkingPad and verifies the Bluetooth connection without sending movement commands.

Does Paceora work if the treadmill itself is broken?

No. If the treadmill will not power on or no controller can reach it, contact WalkingPad or KingSmith hardware support. Paceora is not a mechanical or electrical repair tool.

Does Paceora require the KS Fit application?

No for normal Paceora control. Keep KS Fit available for firmware updates, official setup, and manufacturer-support edge cases.

Does Paceora require an account?

No. Paceora does not require a Paceora account.

Where is my walking data stored?

Workout history is saved locally on your Mac. The current App Store release does not require a Paceora account or keep a separate customer-history database.

Is Paceora a subscription?

No. Paceora is a $9.99 one-time purchase on the Mac App Store.

Which macOS versions are supported?

Paceora requires macOS 13.0 or later. You also need a Mac with working Bluetooth access.

Is Paceora affiliated with WalkingPad or KingSmith?

No. Paceora is an independent, unofficial application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WalkingPad or KingSmith.

Can I still use the original remote?

Paceora does not modify the original remote. Bluetooth behaviour can vary, so use one controller at a time while connecting or troubleshooting rather than assuming simultaneous control.

What should I do if my model is not supported?

Do not buy Paceora for that model. Request model support through the support page, contact the manufacturer for hardware problems, or use the selector to compare supported replacement models.
